BECOME A PART OF OUR TEAM

Come ride a tandem bike! No prior experience in tandem riding is necessary. We’ll set you up with a partner, adjust the bike the way you like it, and before you know it you’ll be zooming around the Central Park loop.

We welcome riders of all abilities.

Before riding with us, you must complete and sign our official waiver and training session conducted by an InTandem staff member.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE WITH INTANDEM

Become a Captain

Thanks for your interest in volunteering to be a captain (person who rides in the front of the bike) with InTandem.  Please note that captains should be experienced cyclists, with good bike-handling skills and good judgment.  To join us on our next ride, all you need is to complete these two steps:

Complete our INTANDEM WAIVER

Sign-up for one of our next captain training sessions on our Events page

Become a Stoker

InTandem Stokers (person who rides on the back of the bike) are people with disabilities who cannot ride independently on single bikes.  While most of our Stokers are blind or have low vision, some members may have balance, social, or other disability-related concerns that make it difficult or dangerous for them to ride single bicycles.

Complete our INTANDEM WAIVER

Sign-up for one of our next stoker training sessions on our Events page!
