Executive Director

Michael Anderson

InTandem’s Board of Directors welcomed  Michael Anderson as the Executive Director in November 2023. Michael is responsible for leading InTandem and managing the day-to-day operations of the organization.

Michael has deep experience in the adaptive sports community. He previously oversaw the New York City Metro Region for Achilles International, leading during a period of tremendous growth.  Michael was subsequently promoted to Vice President of Programming for Achilles, where he oversaw the 2021 Achilles Resilience Relay and other programs during the pandemic. He was also responsible for fundraising and program activities related to Achilles’ participation in the TCS New York City Marathon. Charged with growing opportunities across the US, Michael built a team of leaders based in Boston, Chicago, Houston and Washington DC that enhanced the impact of Achilles’ mission for athletes, volunteers and strategic partners across the US. 

Prior to his work in adaptive sports, Michael spent over a decade as a corporate events manager in the technology industry. He founded an employee running club in addition to successfully fulfilling his core responsibilities.

Michael is a fitness enthusiast and is passionate about running and recreational cycling. He is a Certified Running coach, and has coached, trained with and guided numerous runners who are blind or have low vision at road races all over the United States.  Michael has completed an impressive 30+ marathons, including Boston and NYC, and loves riding as a Captain for InTandem in his spare time. 

Michael lives in Hoboken, NJ with his wife, Antoinette, an Interior Designer. They are the proud parents of Nashville, Terrier-Chihuahua mix.

Program Manager

Josephine Law

Josephine joined the InTandem Team as Program Manager in January 2026, bringing a strong background in nonprofit program management and passion for inclusivity and accessibility.

Josephine previously served as the Program Director of Teens in Public Service, a Seattle-based summer internship program for high schoolers, placing students at service-oriented internships at nonprofit organizations. Josephine has a keen eye for developing programming that is impactful, empowering, and centered around the community being served. She helped scale Teens in Public Service’s program to its largest cohort to date with 85 interns, established 20+ new internship sites, and spearheaded partnerships with equity-focused organizations, such as the Canopy Neurodiversity Foundation,

Prior to her work at Teens in Public Service, Josephine also served as the Retail Operations Manager with Oiselle, where she got to connect her love for running with a community-driven mission and intentionally designed fitness apparel. She supported weekly running groups, participated in company conversations around equity and inclusion, and managed pop-up events locally and nationally – including at the 2022 USA Track and Field Championships!

While Josephine hails from Seattle, WA, she is finding her new home in Manhattan incredibly exciting and fun, getting to take her terrier mix Mochi, on new adventures throughout the city.

Board of Directors

Mark Carhart

Mark Carhart is the Chief Investment Officer and founding partner of Kepos Capital LP, a NYC-based systematic investment manager with $2 billion in institutional assets. Prior to founding Kepos in 2010, Mark was a Partner and Co-Chief Investment Officer of the Quantitative Investment Strategies Group at Goldman Sachs Asset Management. He was also an Assistant Professor at the Marshall School of Business at USC and a Senior Fellow at The Wharton School. Mark earned a B.A. from Yale University, became a CFA Charterholder in 1991, and received his Ph.D. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 1995. He also serves on the Investment Committee of the Convent of the Sacred Heart New York.

Matthew Elefant

Matthew is the son of InTandem founder Artie Elefant and a founding board member of the organization. One of his earliest memories of his father was learning to ride a bike at the local middle school parking lot — neither of them knowing then what cycling would come to mean for their family. Professionally, Matthew is the Managing Director of Inclusive Web, which works with clients to simplify digital accessibility and ensure their web and digital applications are ADA compliant and accessible to all users. Inclusive Web is a trusted partner to governments, educational institutions, and enterprises worldwide.

Susan Robinson

Susan Robinson is a speaker, advisor, and consultant who blends 25+ years of multi-sector leadership with her experience being legally blind. She has worked with global firms and Fortune 500 companies, leading nonprofits, universities, and the United Nations. Her TED Talk, “How I fail at being disabled,” has garnered over 1.4 million views. Susan serves as an Executive Board Member of the Penn State Alumni Association’s Alumni Council and on the board of the New York State Preferred Source for the Blind. She holds an MPA from NYU’s Wagner School and a BS from Penn State. Susan is a tango dancer, yoga practitioner, tandem cyclist, and world traveler based in New York City.

Maria DiMeglio

Maria DiMeglio joined the board in 2022, bringing 26 years of healthcare experience to InTandem. She graduated from Mercy College with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Maria joined InTandem as a stoker soon after the organization was founded — and InTandem gave her the opportunity to ride a bike for the first time! In addition to her 8 years as an InTandem stoker, Maria is an avid participant in baseball, kayaking, rowing, taekwondo, and dance. She helped facilitate the creation of an adaptive dance class through New York Cares and previously served on the board of The New York Lions Adaptive Sports League.

Joey Teixeira

Joey joined InTandem Cycling in the spring of 2017 as a new captain and has contributed to the organization’s success in many roles — from captain, to trainer, to ride leader, to board member. Professionally, Joey is the Director of Philanthropy, Eastern Region, for the ASPCA®, one of the largest humane societies in the world. He began his career with the ASPCA in 2013. Outside of InTandem, Joey volunteers at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, runs marathons, and coaches for Special Olympics. He lives in New York City with his husband, two dogs, and three cats.

Nancy Morisseau

Nancy Morisseau is an attorney with extensive public service and legal leadership experience, currently serving in the Office of the General Counsel at a New York City agency. Earlier in her career, she clerked for the Honorable George B. Daniels of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. Nancy first joined InTandem as a captain and quickly found herself enjoying regular rides and becoming part of a mission-driven community she deeply values. She is a co-founder and former board member of the Haitian American Lawyers Association of New York (HALANY) and a former President of the Federal Bar Association’s Southern District of New York Chapter. Nancy holds a B.A. magna cum laude from Syracuse University, an M.Sc. from the London School of Economics, and a J.D. from Cornell Law School.
