Executive Director
InTandem’s Board of Directors welcomed Michael Anderson as the Executive Director in November 2023. Michael is responsible for leading InTandem and managing the day-to-day operations of the organization.
Michael has deep experience in the adaptive sports community. He previously oversaw the New York City Metro R
egion for Achilles International, leading during a period of tremendous growth. Michael was subsequently promoted to Vice President of Programming for Achilles, where he oversaw the 2021 Achilles Resilience Relay and other programs during the pandemic. He was also responsible for fundraising and program activities related to Achilles’ participation in the TCS New York City Marathon. Charged with growing opportunities across the US, Michael built a team of leaders based in Boston, Chicago, Houston and Washington DC that enhanced the impact of Achilles’ mission for athletes, volunteers and strategic partners across the US.
Prior to his work in adaptive sports, Michael spent over a decade as a corporate events manager in the technology industry. He founded an employee running club in addition to successfully fulfilling his core responsibilities.
Michael is a fitness enthusiast and is passionate about running and recreational cycling. He is a Certified Running coach, and has coached, trained with and guided numerous runners who are blind or have low vision at road races all over the United States. Michael has completed an impressive 30+ marathons, including Boston and NYC, and loves riding as a Captain for InTandem in his spare time.

Michael lives in Hoboken, NJ with his wife, Antoinette, an Interior Designer. They are the proud parents of Nashville, Terrier-Chihuahua mix.
